Doug Robinson, of Rock Hill, SC has been elected to serve the ACSP as President for 2011 - 2012. Robinson was elected on April 11, 2011 during the ACSP State Convention held in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

At the 2011 Awards Reception on Sunday, April 10 more outstanding Association members were also recognized - including the Board of Directors and Affiliate Presidents for their service over the past year.
The Affiliate President of the Year Award is based on an affiliate President's accomplishments in membership, certifications, attendance at meetings, report submission and other criteria. The 2011 Affiliate President of the Year recipient, for the second year in a row, is Dee Fullerton, Affiliate #5 in Spartanburg, SC.
The Outstanding Educator of the Year Award gives consideration to nominees based on their accomplishments dealing with education on any level such as for ACSP, the cosmetology industry and any education dealing with cosmetology related events. The 2011 Outstanding Educator of the Year Award recipient is Amanda Godfrey of Columbia, SC.
The David E. Bagwell Award (Professional Member of the Year) recognizes cosmetologists on what they have done to upgrade and promote the cosmetology profession by activities supported on the state and local level. The 2011 David E. Bagwell Award recipient is Doug Robinson of Rock Hill, SC.
The 7th Annual Blue Ribbon Awards were voted on by the FEC members to recognize their peers for outstanding service. The Blue Ribbon winners for 2011 are:
