Doug Robinson, of Rock Hill, SC has been re-elected to serve the ACSP as President for 2012 - 2013. Robinson was elected on April 23, 2012 during the ACSP State Convention held in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

At the 2012 Awards Reception on Friday, April 20 more outstanding Association members were also recognized - including the Board of Directors and Affiliate Presidents for their service over the past year.
The Affiliate President of the Year Award is based on an affiliate President's accomplishments in membership, certifications, attendance at meetings, report submission and other criteria. The 2012 Affiliate President of the Year recipient is Cynthia Duke, Affiliate #28 in Conway, SC.
The Outstanding Educator of the Year Award gives consideration to nominees based on their accomplishments dealing with education on any level such as for ACSP, the cosmetology industry and any education dealing with cosmetology related events. The 2012 Outstanding Educator of the Year Award recipient is Kimberly King-Mahaffey of Greer, SC.
The David E. Bagwell Award (Professional Member of the Year) recognizes cosmetologists on what they have done to upgrade and promote the cosmetology profession by activities supported on the state and local level. The 2012 David E. Bagwell Award recipient is Marci Curtin of West Seneca, NY.
The 7th Annual Blue Ribbon Awards were voted on by the FEC members to recognize their peers for outstanding service. The Blue Ribbon winners for 2012 are:
