Membership is open to licensed salon professionals and students - including hairdressers, estheticians, nail technicians, salon owners, school owners and educators.
Why should I join the Association of Cosmetology Salon Professionals?
Because ACSP is here to serve your needs in South Carolina. Support of your profession is imperitive for the future of your profession!
What will happen when I join ACSP?
After your application is received and processed you will be sent a new member packet with all your Association information. It may be 4-5 weeks before your membership packet is mailed, however, your benefits begin as soon as your application is received by the ACSP State Office.

Membership Dues
Professionals - $65.00 per year
Students - $25.00 per year
Membership year starts in the month in which you join.

*Once students have graduated and obtained their professional license their student membership will expire and they may choose to convert to a Professional ACSP Membership for $65 per year to continue receiving benefits.
**As long as there is space in the class – registered cosmetologists who need the class for hours are given priority. It is preferred, but not required that student members advise the State Office that they plan to attend. Availability in class may include standing room only. Any student attending the Extravaganza will not receive hours or any sort of credit through ACSP.
FREE $5000 Accidental Death and Dismemberment Policy - All new members will recieve this enrollment information in their new member package. You have only 30 days to enroll for this coverage. If you do not enroll within 30 days then you will not have another opportunity to enroll until you renew your membership. If enrolled, your coverage will continue automatically as long as your membership does not lapse. If your membership lapses you will be required to re-enroll when you re-join.

General and Professional Liability Insurance beginning at $100,000 - Coverage for a yearly payment of only $155.00.(that’s less than $13.00 a month !!!)
- Cosmetologists & Barbers, Estheticians/Make-Up Artists (NO permanent make-up),Massage Therapists, Manicurists and Nail Technicians, Personal Trainers, Aerobics and Yoga Instructors.
- This will cover the insured anywhere they practice in the State for the covered services they are licensed or trained and certified to provide some of the services that are included in the coverage: Facial Waxing, Facial Peels
(Chemical and Citrus 35% or less),
Air Brush Tanning, Microdermabrasion,
Body Waxing, Ear Piercing,
Airbrush or Henna Tattoo,
Body Wrapping and
Electrolysis – laser electrolysis is not permitted.
